For our trip to Sukabumi, my fried & I stayed for 1 night at Max One Hotel. We chose this hotel because it has the highest rate at Tripadvisor.
I booked the hotel via Traveloka.com and got the rate IDR 528k for one twin bed room with breakfast.
This hotel is located on Jl Siliwangi. From Yogya Dept Store (apparently, all Sukabumi’s city transports (a.k.a angkot) stop here), we took the red angkot and about 10 minutes later (angkot fee: IDR 4k/person) we arrived at the hotel.
My first impression of this hotel was: it’s so cheerful!
I like the mural on th hotel exterior:
At the front office, we were greeted by a nice lady with sweet smile. The hotel lobby was bright and colorful:
The mural, which depicts the Jaipong dancers is the theme of decoration in this hotel. Here’s one dancer that we found inside the elevator:
The bedroom was small but the decor was nicely done:
There’s a dancer on the phone:
The bathroom was equally small but didn’t look crowded thanks to the small window to the bedroom allowing the sunlight to enter the shower area.
The breakfast buffet was nice. The fried rice and omellete was yummy. The dining area was build around the small outdoor swimming pool.
The free wifi worked very well and they didn’t change the user name & password because the info was glued to the key card.
The most amazing feature in this hotel was this built-in door tag:
So, when you’re visiting Sukabumi, I reccomend Max One Bounty.
Btw, it’s a 6 minutes walk from the hotel to Bubur Ayam (chicken porridge) Bunut Siliwangi.
If you want to see Selabintana, just cross the street in front of the hotel and take the red angkot. It’s about 20 minutes ride and the fee was IDR 5k/person.
